Biography

Michael Tsiang (he/him/his) was born and raised in LA. His mom, Amy Tsiang, is a Librarian Emerita, having retired from the UCLA East Asian Library after 40 years of service. Michael has been teaching at UCLA since graduating from Stanford in 2016, and is currently a continuing lecturer in the UCLA Department of Statistics and Data Science. In his free time, Michael enjoys swimming, singing, playing video games, going to Disneyland, and spending time with his family and friends.
