Biography

Mary Keushkerian (she/her/hers), a fourth-year Psychobiology Major on the pre-med track, is from Glendale, California. She serves as a Research Assistant at both the Teaching, Learning, and Communication Lab (TLC Lab) and the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Lab (CVIRL). Alongside her academic pursuits, she holds leadership positions as the President of the Armenian Students Association (ASA), Vice President of Operations for the American Cancer Society on Campus (ACS), External Vice President of UCLA’s Musical Medicine Club, and Secretary of the Armenian Pre-Health Society. Additionally, Mary has been volunteering at the Glendale Health Festival since 2016.

These involvements have not only honed her leadership skills, but have also allowed her to deeply connect with both her beloved UCLA and Armenian communities. They have fueled her passion for community service, a drive that will undoubtedly persist throughout her medical career.

Outside of work and school, Mary loves to play piano for residents of nursing homes, knit scarves and hats to pass out to those in need, go on walks with her dog, go on medical mission trips, and spend time with her loved ones.
