Biography

Amira Mahomed (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She is a current first-year dental student at the UCLA School of Dentistry and will graduate in 2027 with her dental degree. Amira is a first-generation graduate student and is passionate about uplifting and mentoring underrepresented students and helping them achieve their dreams. With these goals in mind, the first student organization that she joined on campus was the Students for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (SIDE) club. Amira also serves as a pre-dental mentor in various capacities within the dental school. Outside of school, she enjoy spending time with her friends and family, going to yoga classes, and trying new foods.
