Biography
Nicolas Christou (he/him/his) received his Ph.D. in Statistics in 2000 from Stern School of Business, New York University. He has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Statistics at UCLA from 2000-06, a lecturer from 2006-2012, a continuing lecturer from 2012-15, and Senior Continuing Lecturer from 2015-present. His research interests include spatial statistics, statistical models in finance, and research in the area of teaching statistics. He is also the Co-PI and Co-Director of Statistics Online Computational Resource (SOCR) and co-Editor of the Journal of Environmental Statistics. Outside of work, he likes to run and take long walks.
