Biography
Hyun Seon Park (she/her/hers) is a doctoral student in UCLA’s Clinical Psychology program. She is a first-generation immigrant from Seoul, South Korea and grew up in San Jose, California before obtaining her undergraduate degree in Clinical/Community Psychology and English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently a member of the Child Focus on Innovation and Redesign in Systems and Treatment (FIRST) lab led by Dr. Bruce Chorpita at UCLA, whose work focuses on improving the effectiveness of mental health services delivered to youth and their families and empowering community mental health professionals by leveraging innovations in mental health design, clinical decision-making and information-delivery models, and mental health system architecture and processes. She completed her externship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center’s Child and Adolescent Clinic serving youth and families in Los Angeles County. She currently serves as a clinician, student supervisor, and Clinic Associate for the UCLA Psychology Clinic, which offers low-cost, evidence-based therapy and assessment services to the surrounding community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, taking dance classes, and spending time with loved ones and her cat, Kumo.
