Biography

Madison Hecht (she/her/hers), originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, is currently a medical student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a master’s student in Public Policy at the Luskin School of Public Affairs (Class of 2025). Her academic focus is on health equity and preventative health, driven by a commitment to community-based participatory research. This work includes developing policies aimed at improving the social determinants of health and ensuring equitable health care access. On campus, Madison actively participates in tutoring and mentoring programs, helping fellow medical students excel academically and personally. Outside of her studies, Madison engages in community service activities such as adaptive sports programs, which allow her to apply her medical training in practical, impactful, and fun ways. On the weekends, Madison loves to be in nature, hiking with her dog, Arlo, visiting art museums, or discovering great LA jazz venues.
