Biography

Monica is the Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for the Assessment and Prevention of Prodromal States (CAPPS) at the Semel Institute. She advocates for underserved minority individuals and Spanish speaking families in mental health services. Monica is also an advocate for minorities to bring more awareness and inclusivity into the work at UCLA and creates a safe space for individuals with mental illnesses.
