Biography
Dr. Tabia Richardson is a skilled public health expert with over 25 years of experience in overseeing and conducting clinical trials and public health research. She is a University of Notre Dame alumna and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Community Education and Disease Prevention. Throughout her career, Dr. Richardson has been dedicated to improving health outcomes through evidence-based research, innovative clinical trials, and the design of community-focused interventions aimed at preventing disease, decreasing health disparities, and promoting health equity.
Her extensive background includes leadership roles in both academic research and healthcare settings throughout the country. Dr. Richardson’s expertise spans various therapeutic areas. She has spearheaded research initiatives addressing critical public health matters such as perinatal mortality, angioplasty and stent procedures, hypertension, asthma, idiopathic fibrosis, pulmonary embolisms, and COVID-19. Most recently, she led a department of community educators committed to enhancing the lives of family caregivers, of those diagnosed with various forms of dementia, by educating them on brain health practices with a focus on improving their personal well-being.
To further unite her passion for research, healthcare, and leadership, Dr. Richardson earned a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Organizational Change Management. Her research explored the relationship between leadership styles and occupational burnout or well-being among Resident Physicians, adding a unique perspective on improving healthcare environments.
